Some men find the strings that descend from the cervix uncomfortable. It depends how each of you is shaped and whether or not there is any contact between your husband's "thing" and the strings up by your cervix. You might ask your physician whether you're a good candidate for Depo Provera, which can be given by injection. If you want to avoid chemicals, the combination of contraceptive foam and condoms is very effective if -- and this is a big if -- you are very conscientious about using them. Do ask a gynecologist or someone at Planned Parenthood about the most reliable, non-chemical forms of contraception available now. I'm not up on the newest contraceptives.
