I'd prefer you answer this question if you actually ROOT for the Wolverines. No dumba$$ SEC fans!

By "success and dissapointment" I mean that "is the way Michigan closed the season enough to overshadow their best record since 1999?" If you say that it IS enough to overshadow the 11-2 record, you consider 2006 a "dissapointment." If you say that it ISN'T, then you consider 2006 a "success."

I am proud of the way Michigan prepared for this season, by dedicating themselves to the weight room and conditioning in the off season. The 11-2 record this year was a far cry from the 7-5 record they posted last year. I believe Ron English, their defensive coordinator made a big difference in their defense. They looked liked the 1997 national championship team off the past. I was very upset in how they lost to Ohio State and USC. They could have beaten both teams, but penalties and mental mistakes cost them those games. Michigan is my team, and when I watch them on TV, it's like I'm a part of the team. When they lose a game, it's like I lose too. I have very high hopes for them next season; if they rededicate themselves to winning the national title next year by hitting the weights and conditioning, they will be a force to be reckoned with. "GO BLUE."

There's no real down side to a 11-2 record. There are plenty of teams out there that would have loved to have gone 11-2. They lost to two of the best teams in the country. I would have to say overall it was a success that had a unhappy ending.

I think the team's disappointment showed in the Rose Bowl against USC. It was as if they were not up for it and just weren't into it mentally. That may have been the effects of not getting a second chance at Ohio St. for the championship.

The 2007 season should be just as impressive if not better barig any serious key injuries. Look for them to be in the national championship race again as a strong contender.

I am an SEC fan but not a dumba$$. I would say, successful. It's very difficult to have 10+ wins in a season. Of course, everyone likes to finish strong and certainly USC got the upperhand on that one. I just hope a passing comment made by Brent Musburger isn't true, the one about Lloyd Carr's job being on the line. What a shame!

BIG disappointment. 1st- Losing to OSU makes the season disappointing for the Blue at all. 2nd- Getting man handled in the Rose Bowl by USC was embarrassing. Especially with Ohio State losing as bad as they did. It made the Big 10 as a whole look weak.
