To people who think i`m a wanabe or something like that. GUESS WHAT !? I do cut, I am emotional and hate myself/my life. don`t accuse me of being a poser just because i want to dress a certain way. that just makes you a rude *****.

What's the question.
Go thrifting with a friend/your mom. It's fun.
Wear tons of hoodies and t's with stupid sayings on them, like "Cut My Heart" etc.
Yeah. Wear black backpacks, converse, and vans.
AND skinny/girl jeans.

Emo is only style of yet in a distinctive thank you to describe a goth man or woman. No, they do no longer look to be depressing people each and all the time, they are in a position to be, inspite of the incontrovertible fact that it only looks that thank you to maximum individuals. No, the skirt does no longer sound emo, and that i'm not sure correct to the punk women..? Haha lol wish this facilitates!

Ok hon.Im seventh grade and everyones either punk, emo or goth so trust me.You want to buy skinny jeans which are tight jeans with a skull belt or somthing like that.If you agirl get some black and pink skull earrings. If you a boy get plugs. After that for a girl get some black ballet flats.Boys get skate shoes. For you jacket, get a band jacket (Hot Topic has lots)Even if you dont like the bands just get a random band then.Boys and girls can wear eyeliner on inner rims. Also, get some fitted(tight) black or band tees.Rubber bracelets are cool too.

Hair:Girls cut your hair short and two tone.Boys look at AFI's hair.

I think it's a good idea to go with instinct and what YOU like (emo or not) rather than blindly following others.

However, as you asked, I'll do my best to help.

I'd suggest armwarmers, or stripey/polkadot/starry tights cut up to armwarmers on your arms as an alternative.

Shirt would be black or grey, most likely. Jacket could be a hoodie (with a pattern on it, or plain black), or a blazer even.

Backpack-wise, I'd suggest any plain old black one, or whatever you like (I'd recommend plain dark colours, but EastPak do some wicked cool patterened ones!). Shoes for traditional emo style are Converses, Vans or other skateshoe brands like Dickies and Etnies.

Some of these ideas might sound a bit girlie if you're a guy, but hey, do what you like.

THIS IS WHERE I SHINE!!!!!!! LISTEN UP.
done with the caps. ok. sooo... yes, you need to cover the wrists, i had this problem, and the next day i had an annual check-up scheduled at the doc's sooo it was cuttin it close (no pun intended) wear armwarmers, or wristbands, (HotTopic has ones for any obsession/personality). and band shirts, lots of eyeliner. but heed this, you dont have to dress like emo stereotypes, express yourself in any morbid way youd like. and dont cut to deep

carpe noctem (sieze the night),

ok, first, one of the best stores is hottopic for this kind of need.
second, im in 8th grade, im more punk than emo, but trust me... everyone's either punk, gothic, or emo these days.
all of these styles are currently in and to the best of my knowlege, is what the emos are wearing.
>shirts --
-Gir shirts [[the cartoon character]] [[very popular nowadays]]
-my chemical romance, or afi shirts
-pirates of the carribean [[jack sparrow t-shirts are in]]
-for colors go with grey or black mixed or black and red mixed
-shirts that dont say "look at me over here im goth"... so if you're going for more emo than goth go with something like, a pink shirt with skulls
>jackets --
-long hoodies
-for colors choose black or grey
>pants --
-long and skinny [[only wear this with the vans slip on's]]
>backpacks --
-choose the ones that you carry on your shoulder
-colors could be grey with small amount of black or black with small amount of red
>shoes --
-vans slip on's
-black and grey converse
-DC's
-etnies
>accessories --
-arm bands
-gloves [[like where the fingers are cut off]]
-studded belts [[very very in]]
-dog collars or chokers
-lots or rings [[optional some emos don't like to wear rings]]

~i hope i helped out!!!

You are just another dumb *** who is (in 3 years or so) going to dress retro or something. Its pathetic and a waste of time. Emo is short for emotional. I am emotional. I cut. I don't wear black. I don't do that ****. I can be EMO and still BE MYSELF. unlike you.

Hope you are not cutting. If you are, join a website to talk to other people about it (if you can't talk to anyone you know) and have people there to talk to who understand what you're dealing with.

(Sorry if I am wrong and jumping to conclusions, tho'. It's just that I've been there, done that.)
