Intra....as in:

PRE operative period.
INTRA operative period.
POST operative period.

When discussing someone's surgery.

((PERI means AROUND as in "perimeter" or NEAR as in "peri-anal abcess." It is a description of LOCATION rather than TIME.))

In anatomy there is no prefix between pre and post. It's just the base word. So I guess that means there is no "between" ...
