String theory is the word used to make it sound as simple as possible. The workings of string theory is much more complicated than that. Each string has its own 'frequency' that makes it an entity into itself.

Well, actually, the string is many, many miles in length. So it takes years and years and years to tie just one little knot.

I've heard it's not really string at all, but a series of tubes.

i guess supposedly they are in constant motion...etc. i dunno... it's a theory.... we don't know yet.
