It's certainly not the American public; why would we allow such problems that plague this country to go on and on and on?

Do we really believe that our best interests are at stake in the state and national arenas. Do we really believe that the decisions being made are to help or are they meant to create future employment by those making them?

The richest people in the world are the ones who make the laws in the world including the US. That's the way it has always been since the world began.

Anyone who thinks bureaucrats\politicians are there for the public's interest is under 5 years old or very naive.

From my own experiance, the ones I helped get elected, took their own intrest at heart once they made office knowing they would not be re-elected. I can only imagine it on a federal basis, seeing mine was local. Who watches them? good question, no one except themselves and reversing a law is alot more difficult than makeing one and the ones I know laughed in my face when I brought that to their attention.
