Of course this is a scam! There is no such thing as "blinker fluid" if this is a private owned mechanic then you need to go to the police, or the better business bureau, if this is just an employee for a certain company then you need to talk to the manager.

Absolutely! There is no such thing as "blinker fluid" and what are commonly referred to a blinkers are run by electricity. I assume you are a woman based on your picture and unfortunately, there are unscrupulous mechanics who will take advantage of women they deem won't know any better. Shame on them! Not all of us are dishonest though. Most mechanics are in the trade to help people, not rip them off.
I hope you didn't pay, and don't get your vehicle fixed by this mechanic.

Blinker fluid is available at the site below.
They are sold out ride now (most people change theirs this time of the year, so I'm not surprised)
But they should have it back in stock soon.

Sheesh I still can't believe people still fall for this scam.
Blinkers don't use fluid, they get their liquid from the headlights. They were trying to trick you into running out of headlight fluid. if that happened there would have been h311 to pay. Then they could have charged you for a whole new headlight system. (do you know much money they make on just the *pump*??) Luckily for you I've got plenty of headlight fluid that I can sell to you really cheap. Call me. My number is BR-549.

Miss, there is no such thing as "blinker fluid". I'd call the cops on this one so no one else is cheated out of their money.
