You can sure squander your money on the many preparations available at your local Wal-mart trying to solve your problems. However, the real truth is that these will do little real good. Your problem comes from the inside and is perfectly normal. It will pass with time and get better. What can you do, meanwhile, to perhaps lessen the formation and effects of these blemishes? Cleanse your facial areas twice daily with a good soapy cleanser and keep your skin from staying oily. The oil clogs up the skin pores, leading to pustule formation. Be careful not to overdo it. Don't make your skin red and angry, either. This too shall pass.

I was in the same position as you when i was your age and tried loads of different products that didn't work but now i use germolene and it really does work for me! If i feel a spot coming through then i put some germolene on it and it goes away before it shows up!! Also make sure you drink water and clean you face properly and soon you will be spot free!! But if you have acne then go to the doctors and they will prescribe something, Good luck!!

Hi, i've also had lots of spot problems over the years.
You can get this foaming face wash from home bargains, and it is only £1.99. it works wonders. Purity Plus Oil Free foaming face wash i I think they call it. Twice a day, wash your face with soap, and then with the foaming face wash and pat dry with a CLEAN towel, straight out of the tumble dryer. that way there is no residue or dead skin or bacteria on the towel.
that's ok if its zits, but if it is acne, then go down to see your GP, (doctor), and they can give you medical treatment. I have tried the tablets, and the lotion which you dab on. both are good.
either way, do not get frustrated with them and pop them all on the mirror, it makes them spread, can cause scarring, is disgusting seeing yellowish white stuff all over the mirror and even worse having your mother screaming at you when she has to clean it all off.
as a last note, the cheaper alternative is ofter better than oxy, clearisil etc, which i have found does nothing for me

Fruit and lots of water.
Wash your face at least 3 times a day to keep the grease and oil off it and try not to use hair gels and eat too many chips and other fried foods as these are all greasy and add to the amount of oil in your skin which clogs the pores and reults in spots.
Buying products made for reducing spots like clearasil also help, but these methods stated above will ensure that they don't come back, at least not a lot

a cream called quinoderm containing benzol peroxide that you can get over the counter is the best topical fast solution i tried before eventually going on a course of roaccutane(drug for acne, very effective).
it comes in different strengths so start on the lowest as you don't realise how strong it is straight away. apply it every other day at first as its good stuff and will dry the spots out fast, and apply it with a cotton earbud directly onto the spots as it bleaches clothes and towels if you use you're fingers!! it sounds scary but its really not and is the best stuff before takin drugs to treat spots!
it is what the doc will prescribe you to use if you saw him but it's cheaper to buy yourself anyway, only a couple of quid and it lasts forever!
i have tried everything and this is the fastest solution, but if its a long term problem, and depending on your age i would recommend seeing a dermatologist as there are courses of drugs like roaccutane that will get rid of acne for good.
for odd spots tho this is the best!

During my teenage years I tried various things to reduce my spots. My doctor prescribed me antibiotics which worked but after the course of meds was finished they gradually returned but not as bad as before. I also acquired a sunlamp which actually worked. However I didn't realise at the time that the lamp caused some sun damage. This isn't apparent-my face hasn't overly aged neither has there been reduced skin elasticity as far as I know. So the sunlamp worked for me but at what price. You could ask your doc about this-he may recommend it. I hope things improve for you.

Go to the doctors and ask him to help. Tell him you're becoming depressed and it is affecting your quality of life. If what he gives you doesn't work (and probably) won't, go back until he gives you something that does.
The stuff they sell in Boots is no good so save your money and go to the quacks.

Ask your doctor to put you on a course of low dose antibiotics. Nothing else works. My daughter had the problem. It's a medium/long term solution, but it does the trick. Good luck with the chicks. Give 'em one from me!
