How about Bob Seger, Foriegner, Moody Blues, Eagles, Black Sabbath, Cream, Eric Clapton, AC/DC, Rolling stones, ZZ top, Boston, Manhatten Transfer, Chicago, Bon Jovi, Marshall Tucker, John Melloncamp, Billy Joel, Deep Purple, Guns and Roses, Led Zepplin, BTO (Bachman Turner Overdrive), just to mention a few. There's so many good ones. See if you can find a good local Classic Rock station and listen to it. If you have music channels on your cable or direct TV service. I have Bright house(Time Warner) and our music channels start at 400 and up.

I think if you've grown up with rap, and you're getting into rock, you'd probably really like Linkin Park. Also, check out Staind, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Korn, Taking Back Sunday, The Academy Is..., Family Force 5, and New Found Glory.

It doesn't get any better than Zeppelin.

Here's a Zeppelin vid I made for YouTube... It's not the most well known zep song ever... but Bonhams triplets later in the song are absolute perfection !! He was the master.

And here's my favorite Zeppelin song...

And as the guy below me points out "zeppelin is overrated". Not true at all. They were and still are the greatest rock band EVER - PERIOD.

you said you like "black sabbath" then welcome to our crazy little black t-shirt family call Metal.

here is some of the brand/album; i think you shouldn't miss it.
- Cathedral/ album The Carnival Bizarre, Forest of Equilibrium
very interesting Doom/Gothic metal band, especially if you really like black sabbath.
- Carcass/ album; Heartwork, Swansong
they did death metal, but since the Heartwork and Swansong, they changed their music direction. i don't know what style it is. it is still a lot of death metal in their music but it is not exactly death!!! i don't know, anyway it is an interesting new direction for the band and its fan. i found that even a non-death metal fan sill instantly like this 2 albums.
- Dream Theater/ album; a change of seasons, train of thought
one of the best progressive rock today. i am not a big fan of progressive but still, i love this 2 albums.
- Megadeth/ album; Rust in Peace , Countdown to Extinction, Youthanasia
"the must know brand for every metal fan"
- Metallica/ every earlier albums (from black album up)
listen to their earlier works, and you will not believe how superior they were compare to how suck and lame their music is today!!! cann't believe that they used to be one of my most respective people during my teenage.
- Obituary/ album; slowly we rot
if you want to experience some real death metal, start from this classic album. it is my all time favorite album.
-Rammstein/ album; Herzeleid, Sehnsucht, Mutter
the 6 freakiest guys i ever seen in any rock concert! if they go to your town, make sure to go and see their show. just get the ticket and go, you will love it.
(have you seen xxx? that is only a tinny fraction of what they do on the real live show.)

i don't know exactly how many type of metal do we have today.
each of them are diffrence and unique. it up to your personal test.
just find whatever you like and enjoy it.
