I have a 92 Buick Century, the thief tried 2 steal my car by breaking my iginiton switch, but luckily they didnt get it. Now i need 2 know if a kill switch will keep a thief from getting my car if they break the igintion switch. What part/wire can i take off to keep my buick from starting? And where can i find this part. i used 2 have a 74chevycaprice and i used 2 take off the distributor wire i think thats what its called but im not sure if this works 4 my buick. Please help me protect my baby, she is a 92 buick century. Will keyless entry or a kill switch work at keeping a thief from getting my baby, even if they break the iginition switch or hot wire it?

I had a 72 El Camino and my kill switch was in line with the battery and ran to the fuel pump some how. If I closed the switch then even if you hotwired it, the car would crank and crank and crank but never start because the fuel pump is not on. Most people would not think to check for a kill switch for the fuel pump. Talk to a GOOD car stereo/alarm installation shop and they can work something out for a couple hundred dollars or so. At the worst they may drain your battery or at the very worst burn out your starter if they try to steal it but you can get it replaced easily.

OMG...I had to reply to this a baby is in danger hear I really recommend going for a Ford or a Mercury car. It has the anti-theif system and if someone breaks in while the car is locked they are caught!!!! If there is any damage done while the vehicle is locked an alarm will sound!! I suggested a newer model that comes with keyless entry. If you need anymore information just email me at lakesha788@yahoo.com

your car is not a theft item....had to be nothing more than some 14 yr olds wanting a joy ride. there is no need nor demand for such cars.

to take off a wire or fuse each and every day is absurd.....either buy a clunker or move to a better area. you can put in no kill switches and other items but its nothing but a waste of money on such a car. or best solution....park it in a garage.
