It depends on the face. If the face is long or oval, round or heart shaped. Some look better with go-tees. It is opinion and based on the face. Try asking your friends for there honest opinions.

Did you see Jimmy Kimmels show during Beard Week? His face looked waaaaay thinner with a beard. My husbands face looks thinner with a one, as does my brothers. I think when it's trimmed close, whiskers not more than an inch long, and there is a clean line where the beard ends at your jawline it looks good.

If it is well trimmed then with a beard. But if its big and bushy then it looks heavier
