At my job, this woman has got to be the laziest most spoiled person I have ever meet in my life. Well after 6 months of of dealing with her BS, my boss decided to let her go. Well she took it to court and sued the company for a lot of money. The company had to fire about 10 people due to her lawsuit to cover the money loss (people who were friends of mine and actually worked). Luckily I had seniority and got to stay. This is such bullcrap. You woman can get away with murder and no one can fire you because you will just scream sexual harrasment. Right now im saving up to open my own business. Due to what my company went through, I have firmly decided never to hire a woman.

no those allegations were completely untrue. she was a spoiled little rich girl and got mad that she was getting fired for being useless so she screamed sexual harrasment to get revenge.

Not all women are like that. I have morals, as do most other women, and would never make something up to get back at someone for firing me. In most cases, when an employer needs to let someone go, they need an audit trail.....such as employee evaluations (was she ever given a bad evaluation?), and being put on probation (was she ever told of her bad performance and put on probation?). If so, did she sign these evaluations knowing that she needed to change? If the company had nothing to show the court that this woman was a horrible employee, the courts have no choice but to award her. I see your frustration, it's VERY frustrating! But there are ways to fight back against these women who use the court system for revenge. I hope you change your mind about us women, we aren't all like that. Good luck to you and your new business.

I just read the other part of your question. Without proof and witnesses......how could she possibly win the lawsuit? The burden of proof would have to be on the prosecution, I would think. So for the court to award her......did she have someone testify on her behalf? Just wondering.

well, the truth is: your right. Im a feminist and i do believe in having the same rights but that woman obviously went too far. Well, i do also believe in the fact that not everyone's the same. What you have to make sure is that you make kinda of a contract so that employees are aware of the working conditions and that u also have great contact with your own employees (such as meetings and good relationship in general....)
I wonder how can some people have such guts (and money of course....) to do such things.... lawsuit??? get over it lady....

Sorry but you can't blame this on all women, i don't know all the info on this, and all women aren't like this woman you are speaking of, if she won the lawsuit she must have had alot of evidence of some kind or she won't have won. And if you plan on opening your own business, i would reconsider about hiring women, unless you want to be going to court yourself. I don't know how old you are, but business is business an you sound a little inmature to run one, if you are going to blame women for your companies misfortune.

Two things: First, if she sued for sexual harrassment, she wouldn't have gotten a thing if it wasn't proven in court, or there wasn't a settlement. Second, by not hiring women, you would be opening yourself up to a lawsuit on the grounds of sexual discrimination. I have a feeling you are not telling the whole story.

you seem to be judging all women by one. why is that? there are women out there who can work without screaming sexual harassment. you will just need to interview them better, not just hire the best qualified person. personality, and morals have a lot to do with hiring someone. just take your time and get to know the people you hire first.

Well you can't decide to never hire a woman, because they could sue you for that too, which I think would be fair because it is sexist. Not saying that personally I would sue, but it is wrong. From what you said, she was wrong to do that though, but not all women are like than and if men could get away with it, you bet your sweet butt they would. But don't be sexist just because of what one woman did. For example, if my ex-b/f was physically abusive, it wouldn't be fair for me to automatically assume that you were too, so don't do it to anyone else. And good luck w/ the business.

Look at the Duke Unniversity scandel. Those 3 guys are screwed for life. All based on an aligation that has now been proved false. Women can scream injustice all day long but they know they have rights galore.

Obviously there is a lot more to the story than "your side".

You're in the wrong category too, this is about marriage and divorce, duh.

By the way, I predict you will never make it if you try your own business, so go ahead and try.

ok so u worry that you might sexually harrass your female employee and want her to not do anything about it? do we now understand you correctly? hey, if the legal system awarded her some monetary compensation for sexual harrassment allegations then there must have been something to her allegations. end of story.
