My ritual is burnt toast, a multi-vitamin and lots of water before bed.
Here's why:
The carbon from the burnt outside acts as a filter to help sweep away toxins. (They use the same idea for victims of alcohol poisoning in the emergency room, except those people get a much more potent carbon mixture pumped into their stomachs.)
The bread helps to absorb some of the alcohol.
The multi-vitamin helps replenish vitamins A, B6, C, potassium, and others which are lost during alcohol metabolism.
The large quantity of water, necessary to down the vitamin and get the burnt taste out of your mouth anyway, helps with the dehydration.
You actually fight the three major causes of a hangover with this: acetaldehyde (the toxic by-product of alcohol metabolism), dehydration and nutrient depletion.
Cheers!

the best hangover cure is 2 paracetamol, a glass of fresh orange and a banana, tried and tested, works every time.

Gatorade. Many of the symptoms of a hangover are due to simple dehydration and electrolyte loss.

Fried eggs on toast, a good shag, and a hot shower... not necessarily in that order
works every time for me!
(the eggs/toast kick start your metabolism- protein and carbs together- to help your body get rid of the alcohol and the toast helps soak up the alcohol in your stomach... the shag gets your blood pumping and the shower helps you sweat it out... see it's scientifically good as well as a nice cure!)

water and powerade and lots of it. if you drink a lot of water while you are getting drunk you won't get hungover. hangovers are caused by the body being dehydrated. that is why you urinate so much. so replace all that lost fluid and there is no hangover.

A women I work for gave me something she called "poison". It was actually Emergen -C and you can buy it at walmart in the herbal drug area. Worked great for me. It is supposed to put the fluids back into your baody faster that powerade or gatorade does. Oh yeah and 4 Advil liquid gels work also.

i no you don't want to be preached to, but don't drink. i now how you feel because i have been known to put one on my self, a good cure is a sauna, lots of water and Gatorade, but the sauna is the best because if forces the poisons out off your body including your liver and kidneys, if you can handle it drinking allot of water and then regurgitating it all so helps, its some thing yoga swami's are known to do to clean out there insides, remember you have that poison in your gut in the morning, its best to clean it out and put some thing good in it when you can.
