I wonder if Jeeves, the butler who is really the late Duchess's illegitimate son through sperm implantation, put the remnants of the tea biscuits there to cover up the fact that he thinks his secret lover, Mary the Duke's maid and mistress, murdered the Duchess in an attempt to inherit from her will and repurchase her dead father's tea business, which was stolen from the family by the evil lodger who killed the old man in the study with a candlestick...
