Why does Infocision fire their best employees?

Why does Infocision fire their best employees and give raises to people that never show up to work or want to do their job?

I've never heard of Infocision, but the best employees usually make a lot of money. In Corporate America's fuzzy logic, they can be replaced by substandard employees.
