Most definitely. She was handed the race card/ sympathy vote and it got results. Dirk should have won although I would have preferred someone like Leo or Jonny Tourette to have won, someone who caused a bit of drama now and then - no not Jade or Jackiey! Shilpa is too insipid and she reminds me of 6th form students - don't ask me why. Cleo is just as uninteresting, as is Germaine, and as is Ian (H)...they are all spineless wonders....come to think of it Jack, Danielle and Jo are also equally dull. If "that" incident didn't occur she just wouldn't have been charismatic enough to make it through to the end.

The government and India and Channel 4 can sigh a huge relief as a massive international diplomatic incident has just been averted.

I even ought to say I agree thoroughly. i am going to't imagine why they hate her a lot considerng she hasn't really executed some thing to justify such levels of dislike from everybody. or perhaps at the same time as they argue consisting of her she retains her spectacular, respectful frame of mind and is very diplomatic. even at the same time as she has the adulthood to confront them they merely lie and say they prefer her after having observed her negatively to no end. i imagine Jade, Jo and Danielle are all quite 2-confronted and want their attitudes checked. also, what become that finished lunch component about the day earlier in the present day? Danielle become complaining about how Shilpa makes what she needs at the same time as she needs and at the same time as she chanced on accessible have been a lot of onions contained in the food, she says "what am I gunna eat now?", that is an concept for the ungrateful one, make your own food then you surely could have what you want once you want instead of complaining at the same time as someone is doing you a favour!

I think that channel 4 manipulated the voting and airtime to make the most of the situation .... I strongly believe that the outcome was falsified to stop the public outcry against there handling of the situation.

I also find it hard to believe that there has been no police action or coverage in the media about the death threats ... surely this is worse than what Jade & co did.

1. the woman looks spectacular and has gorgeous hair
2. she behaved with dignity under an unexpected and v difficult onslaught from Jade. I wouldn't have done so well.

I am sure she got a sympathy vote. I expect she got the immigrant vote, but as I see it she also got the right vote. Germaine was worthy too, but not so deserving. Well done Shilpa.

Not entirely but it didn`t hurt her chances did it ?
The whole vote fiasco days ago proved that the "contest" was yet again fixed - as soon as it looked like Shilpa Shitty was about to be evicted C4 cancelled voting and "recounted" - shades of the last American election anyone????

Yes, but not because it was a "sympathy vote" - she was faced with ignorant aggressive bullying and responded with sympathy and composure. People were shown her real strengths because her character was tested more than a lot of people's are in the show.

By the way, massive kudos to her for the way she talked about Jade in the exit interview. It would have been easy to stick the boot in but she remained dignified to the very end.

I believe it was a fix that she won, the reason for this was to TRY and show the rest of the world that we are not a racist nation.
Later in the week big bro producers will say that the majority of voters were of a white background etc etc etc bla bla bla
Conspiracy theories will already be in discussion and maybe even printed in tomorrows papers raising other arguements that the public has spent a lot of money voting for it to be a fix.

Most definatly I never liked Shilpa from the first day although I have felt for her and what she was put through by those three bullying women was behond belief.
I feel it just did not feel right her winning I felt Jammaine should have won or Dirk!

i reckon so. they made her look really good. It gave her the opportunity to shine. if it wasnt for them, she would have come across as a spoilt asian princess to most typical CBB voters. But she was very dignified and resilient and patient, and was infinitely more gracious than Jade et al. Each time they knocked her down she bounced back, WITHOUT stooping to their level. Good on her, i think she was deserving. I HATE bullies.

I agree with b97st poster, it was the ADMIRATION vote, not the sympathy vote. She handled herself impeccably, she did not need our sympathy.
