It is not unusual for the hermit crab to lose "limbs". In the wild they lose "limbs" during mating and also while warding off would be predators. Some times these appendages grow back. As long as he is still active and has a healthy appetite, he'll be fine. Just keep an eye on him, if he loses any more, it may be the signs of aging or disease. Good luck!
