Condoms protect you from getting a girl pregnant and from sexual diseases. You are better off to wear one. If you want to have a baby with another women then you don't have to wear one but it's safer to wear one just to be sure.

it does nothing they i prevents babys and stds but it has a 70% chance of breaking or slipping

It stops sperm from getting inside of the vagina. So, pretty much, it prevents pregnancy.
