Green cuts out the purplish tinge in reddened areas.
But by most accounts, Loreal's Cashmere foundation is supposed to be good, because it works on combination or oily skins, and there is no need for extra powder after applying it.

Do not wear a colored base, it makes look ruddy and likeyou're wearing makeup.

Choose a light, oil-free foundation to not further oil up your acne. Then get a heavier base JUST for the acne spots. Get a firm, tapered good quality concealer brush. I like Rimmel's Hide the Spot concealers. These are easy to mix and match to accomodate your skin tone.

Do not use concealers with a pink tone on your acne, this will enhance. Also, match your skin very carefully, because a whitish concealer will highlight pimples.

Go to makeup counter and get a consultation and maybe a sample of your perfect shade. Take it home and use it to shop for less expensive products at drugstores.

After everything, set with some powder so your coverage will not go away. And don't forget to blend, but not overblend so you don't erase all your hard work!

Hope that helped! :)

I love Jane Iredale's pressed mineral foundation. It's very similar to Bare Minerals but it doesn't make the mess the loose powders make. If you find it's too expensive Physican's Formula mineral wear is good and not as expensive. Physican's Formula also has the green tinted mineral powder that tones the red down. I use it all the time and it's about twelve bucks and lasts forever.
