A lot of you answered that the guitar I found on E-bay was crap - so I did more research. I found a guitar store in my hometown that sells $100 guitars. Here is a link to them:

Is this guitar better? Is it worth buying?

it all depends on how serious of a player you are. If you plan on just tinkering around and making noise this guitar would be fine. If you don't already know how to play it may also be fine because you may try to learn and never get it and it didn't cost you alot of money to find that out. I play an Epiphone Les Paul studio gothic, it ran me about $500 but the sound is great for almost any style, the action is very user friendly, and it is a very comfortable guitar to play.

you will pretty much get what you pay for, and in my opinion it is better to pick the guitar up and play it before you even think about buying it because they all feel different. most guitar stores will let you do that, Guitar center included if you have one in your town, go there.

It is not for a pro, but it would be a good starter.

You can find some good deals on used guitars at a pawn shop. A friend of mine bought an old Telecaster from a pawn shop, and with a little work, it worked great...she still uses it.

Squier is an excellent guitar for a beginner...
guitar center has an awesome selection of great guitars at low prices...if you have a store near you it's cheaper than buying online also...
I bought my B.C Rich at guitar center in Natick Ma.

If you are a beginning guitarist this guitar will meet and exceed your needs at this point. But, as you find your style you will most likely need a different guitar that fits you better.
