I have to say football because it is the ULTIMATE team sport. You can be the greatest running back in the world but you still need the blocking ahead of you to have a chance, where as in basketball you can will your team to win almost by yourself (ala Jordan in his prime).

Basketball also has become a one-on-one game and is not the same team game as it was in the 60's, 70's, and 80's. Football is also more of a "chess match" in which coaches have a lot more to do with their team's success. Look at Bill Belicheck of the Patriots. Great coach who has had a major role in his teams' three superbowl victories.

I like PLAYING basketball better, but I like WATCHING football better. Both are fun sports!

I like them both bot my favorite sport is basketball. I think football is way to overhyped in this country.
