My male dalmation mollie, after losing his female "friend", has commenced to swimming in circles going up and down on the wall of my tank. Is it because he is lonely or because he is sick? I'm not sure. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I might add that I have 6 other fish in the tank, plus one baby dalmation. What I have are:
2 Powder blue Guarmi's
2 mickey mouse platties
1 rubber lipped pleco
1 catfish
I had 2 dalmation mollies but one passed away about 3 days ago. He has been acting up ever since.

he's just bored and is trying to entertain himself. either that or he sees his reflection, thinks it's another fish, and is trying to get to it. get him another fish...even if it's another male he'll still have company, and that's what he wants...company.

If its along the wall its because he sees himself in the glass (as if in a mirror) and is either trying to show off or doesn't know how to get on the other side. its just the nature of fish and theres nothing wrong with it
