I was just wondering if you are infertile, would there be signs? Are you supposed to feel when you ovulate, If you don't feel anything does that mean it's not happening? How exactly do you do the temperature taking thing to find out when you are ovulating?

The only obvious sign of infertility is not having periods at all (that would be my problem). Otherwise there are no signs except for not getting pregnant after trying a long time.

Some women feel when the ovulate, some don't. So not feeling it means nothing.

I've been using http://www.fertilityfriend.com to chart my basal body temperature. Just take your temp before you get out of bed each morning and enter it into the computer - the website tells you when you ovulated. Unfortunately the temp change happens the day *after* you ovulated, so by then it's too late to get pregnant. But if you had sex during the few days before the temp shift, then at least you know you timed it right.

You can also get an ovulation predictor kit, which will tell you right before you ovulate. Used in conjunction with the BBT, you should get a very good idea of when you ovulate and when to have sex. Good luck!

you can get a basal body thermometer. there will be directions on how to use it in the packaging. you should take your temp first thing in the morning around the same time throughout a cycle. when the temp drops is usually a sign you will be ovulating in the next 24-48 hours. most women do not feel when they are ovulating. the definition of infertility is the inability to conceive after 1 year of unprotected sex for women under 35 and 6 months for women over 35. if you think something is wrong you need to talk to your Dr. they will be able to answer your questions and hopefully provide an answer. although often there is no good answer when it comes to explaining infertility. good luck.

i dont think that there are really any signs except for the fact that you have been trying for so long and nothing happens they say a healthy couple it should take at least a year when ttc. if you are over a year and still havent had any luck then i would say see a specialist and they can help you figure out who the no so fertile one is. it all depeneds on if you know your cycles as well. Not every woman has the cm that you get before you ovulate that is why a lot of woman use the fertlity monitor. best of luck and i hope that you get this all figured out

Not all women feel when they are ovulating, but you can buy over the counter kits. Start taking the tests about a week or so after your period starts (the box will tell you a specific day. Start will that. Charting your ovulation and your periods will help you understand when the best time to try it.

Some signs of infertility, or symptoms, will include the cervical cancer causing virus HPV which is diagnosed with a cone biopsy. Inability of the couple to have a baby after a full year of trying to do so through unprotected intercourse is called barren. It is characterized by the absence of the desired pregnancy and emotional anxiety that many couples experience.
