Yes I did , I thought that if I did every thing that I thought that my boyfriend wanted, all would be well, so I remade myself over into some thing I wasn't and because I was going against my beliefs I constantly was angry and frustrated as was he, It wasn't until I was told that I had to learn how to be the real me that I realized what I had done. so Now I am the real me and there is no more anger and frustration, but the boy friend went a long time ago, and that is OK too

I lost my sense of self through the experience of enlightenment.

Unfortunately I could not maintain the state.

And unfortunately my ego and sense of self returned leaving me a profound sense of loss.

I read The Salmon Of doubt by douglas adams. I realized that im capable of doing things I even consider wrong and it took me alont time to realize that sometimes people work against themselves...there's no getting over it, only getting on with it

Yes I did. It took time but i found myself by focusing on my family friends and what i wanted from and for my life after that moment. It was when i found out about my exhusband and his extra curricular activities. I was always only a wife and mother for years and all that was gone in a minute.

yes due to every bad marriage someone who told me daily I wasn't good enough for this world it has taken me 15 yrs to shake off this feeling and it has been along and winding road
