I have never liked any fiction writer. However I've start readed book written by Jules Verne and I really like his writing.

Only other fiction book I liked was "Splinter Cell" by Tom Clancy.

Howcome I doesn't like anything else?

Is the fiction writer getting worse everyday or their writing style are different today or what?

If you like both the Jules Verne book and the Tom Clancy book then there is nothing wrong with your taste, in my opinion (I've read about 200 popular fiction books in the last 6 years).

From what you say, I think you need to expand on what is available for you to read.

Do what I do. Go to a place that sells lots of books and look for the bestsellers and/or the best selling authors (Tom Clancy is one of them). This helps ensure the probability that the book has a good story and is well written. Then read description of the book (usually) on the back cover. That will tell you if it might be interesting to you. Also read (usually in the front part of the book) what reviewers say about the book. I've found that I've only had one or two disappointments doing this.

You can also do the same by visiting Amazon.com and look at book reviews
For example, mistery and thriller bestsellers are at
http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/books/18/ref=pd_ts_b_nav/002-4945127-0184853

Also, if you like a book in a series then check out the other books in the series. For example, it looks like there are at least two books in the "Splinter Cell" series: "Splinter Cell" and Splinter Cell: Operation Barracuda"

Everyone has their own styles. I've tried again and again to read non-fiction, but I can't find a thing I like. Some people love certain books, while others hate the same books. It's all just a matter of opinion.

You like action-based fiction with technological gadgetry.
Go onto Amazon.com and look up a book that you have read and liked. Under the listing, you will find "Customers who bought this book also bought..." and "What do customers ultimately buy after viewing this item?" This can help you find other books you would like.

If you don't like fiction, try reading Next, by Micheal Chricton (I know I spelled that wrong, but he also wrote Jurassic park) because it is based on non fiction, sort of. it is hard to describe, but it is very interesting!

I think there are good fiction writers nowadays. Try different authors, maybe there'll be one or two you'll like.
