Why do some people like to talk about themselves so much even when they are not looking for an advice, or comfort or a praise. They simply like to talk about their life all the time. How does that make you feel? Does that make you think: Why does this person need me here? What do you do about it?

i knew someone who constantly chatted about herself because silence made her uncomfortable and nervous. she would call in the middle of the night and just rattle on about her problems and not even realize i was there really. i think it stems from insecurity and loneliness, no one to talk to ... its annoying but i can understand where it comes from. doesnt mean i am around it though. i keep a healthy distance and seek friends who give me "air time" too.

Well i guess some people need to feel like they are noticed and want other people to realize they are there, it doesnt make feel that much really, unless they are really in your face what about me sorta thing then i tell them that it aint all about them other people need a chance to but other than that let the babies have there dummy

If there is one thing I learned while getting my Masters Degree in Counseling and Psychology, the one thing people love most talking about is themselves! Just listen to them or leave!
