I would like to thankk Kasper, andygurl,MJ, fatto in napoli for their intelligent arguments in the Euro celebration of death of innocent Americans asked by some Man U fan. Living in the US but not being "American" but being a citizen(to vote against Bush), I can speak firsthand what its like. In the US, the media has an overpowering influence on public opinon by emotionalizing events. Then when I tell my friends I got some news source from the BBC(theyre like you actually trust the BBC?) Like before the World Cup, roughly 4 days of coverage on ESPN(major sport channel in the US) discussed racism in European football(citing the Henry fiasco with Spains national team coach).. So most people in the US think Europeans are a bunch of racists. And lets not forget US is not totally innocent.. There was a thing called Hiroshima..

know it all- Im in us for many reasons.. parents immigrated here for the job market. Theres no denying that the US has the most fair job market in the world. Yes Hiroshima quickened the war but it also killed a lot of innocent civilians.
Bears or Colts? Does Manning have a chance against Urlacher? Urlacher will have a field day.

know it all- about Mexicans.. I think my previous answer kinda said it.. where would most humans rather live? In a poor country or the richest country in the world? Considering how easy it is to cross the border.

kasper- yea youre mostly right... Americans are great but sometimes think they are the center of the world. But US definetly is the richest economy and economy in the world with the most effective(not perfect) democracy.

BTW know it all- my parents werent exactly poor- my dads a doctor. And about health care, andygurl is somewhat right.. theres plenty of kids who get turned away in organ transplant cases. my father and i have seen it.. Its just that it happens to the POOR who dont have health insurance.. And personally I dont think the US is good for poor people in the sense that poor here are no different than elsewhere.. US has a HUGE middle class unlike MOST other countries which makes living easier.

About the "US hating morons" I dont think they hate the US at all, in fact they love Americans but just hate the US government's policing the world approach.

Ur welcome Barca Boy! i was only saying my honest opinion! and some of the answers there also upset me, thats why my answer was a bit strong, but i think i didn't say anything wrong!and its a sad fact that the media in the USA makes people believe whatever the media wants! i am not just saying this, i have some american friends and after hearing there opinions on some things, i am 100% sure of what i am saying about the media, it never shows the people there the absolute truth about things it makes them believe whatever the media itself or the goverment wants! and thats why we have major disagreements and different opinions with some of the Americans!

@Know it all: u and people like u are the misinformed ingnorant idiots , its really pathetic how u think ur the greatest country on earth, believe me, only U BELIEVE THAT! no one else does, i pity u cuz u think we are the ones who are misinformed, but its not totally ur fault ur that ignorant and stupid, ur goverment is mostly to blame, ur only fault is that ur too stupid to think with ur brains, u just believe everything u see without analyzing, ur easy to fool, and thats why people like u vote for George Bush, cuz ur really easy to fool and they can make u believe anything...ur country is toying u around and fooling u and lieing to u...and they make u think ur the one who is right.. really pathetic...

Thanks and you are welcome. I was so frustrated at another user more than the questioner. I have some of the most dear friends in the US but I still think that to many, the world outside the US is of no consequence to them. I had to leave off were I did because I did not want to be insulting to Americans in general, but their versions of historical facts on war are sometimes warped and distorted and factually incorrect at best and I find that so annoying. I don't think that questioner expected that sort of reaction..lol

To the person below:
The best health care in the world? Kids are discharged from hospitals to die because parents have no insurance to pay for organ transplants. The medical field is among the best granted but your health care system is a mess.

Know it all: I personally know of a case so I am sure about what I stated. And about WW2, yes while the war was going on you did not get involved until your own nation came under attack, and by no means do I condone that attack or the many other atrocities the Japanese of that era subjected people to. However when other wars were raged by the US Government, other countries came to your alliance without being under attack, Australia being one of them. In relation to Hiroshima, yes many US lives may have been saved, but it's the attitude that they are more important than the lives of any other human being that I find offensive. The extreme suffering of others is not condonable, not for any reason. No matter where they are from.

Look, the same thing happened in Balkan war, people were blind and they actually taught that they are fighting for their country and for a bigger cause, but now when the war is over they all realized that Milosevic and Tuđman were big criminals and all that they wanted was money and a name in the history books..... the same thing is going on in USA, because of their media people there actually thinks that someone will come to their house and kill them, this war won't end until Bush is dead!!!!

I could talk about this all day, but my English isn't that good and I always end up very nervous at the end..... so let's focus on football!!!!!

YOU'RE AN IDIOT ''know it all'', BUT I BET THAT I'M NOT THE FIRST ONE TO TELL YOU THAT AND THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU BEING AN AMERICAN!!!!!

Why all these arguements dude? I mean, i'm an American yeah and i'm totally against what Bush is doing. But what does that have to do with racism in football? No wait a minute I get it. I don't think of Europeans as racist people. Some may be but most I assure are not!

I'm with you on this one--i live in Canada and have alot of contact with americans...from my own point of view they are all egotistical and patriotic...a bit too much. look at the guy above me...his name says it all...KNOW IT ALL? he knows nothing...his little mind is centred around the society that enforces laziness and superiority. the usa has a big job market, as does Canada, and thats why many people from around ther world immigrated here...so if know it all is so proud of his country, it was our families that built it. RESPECT THE EUROPEANS.

i imagine you're quite paranoid, pal. except for the Greeks (each and every from time to time) and the Armenians, quite a lot all and sundry receives alongside fantastic with Turkey. They do a tremendous job of having a foot in both worlds, balancing Islam with Westernized democracy.

Europeans are extremely racist. Italian soccer fans regualry wear swaskitas on thier club team kits. If that happend in America that guy wearing a swastika would get his *** kicked! America has most lower racist crime than europe. So ha we are more civilzed here. Plus one reason US is better than Europe is that we have the right to own guns yeah! Anything like assult rifles. Europeans are very anti-gun rights. This British guy always wants no guns in the UK not even for shopkeepers who need guns to keep criminals away. George W Bush is good for the world most of the world is against him because most of the world is stupid. US has the best education in the world followed by the best healthcare so bascially we own Europe in terms of government programs. Better military, healthcare, and education we practically can buy europe if we wanted to.

if you don't like this country or what it stands for, your more than welcome to carry your *ss back to where you came from. we were minding our own business on dec. 7th, 1941, when japan decided they wanted to wage war with us. hiroshima and nagisaki saved thousands of american lives by shortening the war in the pacific. japan started that war, so we had to end it, and we would do it again. once again, here is the typical european view of america. japan bombs pearl harbor in a completely unprovoked attack, and somehow WE'RE the bad guys for fighting back and defending ourselves. get a life, pal.

@andygurl, once again you have no idea what you're talking about. no US citizens are refused medical treatment because they have no insurance. you should really learn your facts before you give these ignorant answers. we are the most charitable nation on earth, the american people would not stand by and watch one of our children die for lack of insurance.

@kasper and marodona jr: maybe the people of YOUR countries are misinformed morons who are brainwashed by the media, but not here. american citizens know exactly what's going on in the world, believe me. and trust me, we have no fear what-so-ever that someone is going to come to our homes and kill us. we are america, we fear no one.

@marodona jr.: no one whose opinion matters has ever told me that, it's usually euro-trash losers like you who hate america so much that they think it's fine for a country like japan to launch an unprovoked attack on us like they did at pearl harbor, but when we fight back and defend ourselves like we did at hiroshima and nagisaki, well, that's not ok. how dare we fight back?

@kasper: if i'm the only one who believes it, why are hundreds of thousands of people from every country on the planet trying to immigrate here? why do we have to constantly patrol our southern border to keep the mexicans from hopping the border? why do so many cubans risk their lives floating across the gulf of mexico on innertubes? hell, for that matter why is the asker of this question here in this country? if his country is better, why didn't he stay there? i rest my case.

@ashton K: no hard feelings to you. unlike some of the US hating morons here you acually seem to have some sense. yes, 'fatman' and 'little boy' killed a lot of civilians, but people are pointing the fingers in the wrong direction. the blame belongs squarely on the shoulders of japan, for waging war with us in the first place. we had no beef with them until the pearl harbor attack. the blood of those civilians was on emporer hirihitos hands, not harry trumans. i think it's great that your parents came here for a better life, that's what this country has been about for 200 years. 'bring us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses' as lady liberty proclaims. i have nothing against europeans or mexicans(unless they are here ilegally) until they get on here bashing my country. BTW, i'd like to see the colts win sunday. tony dungy is the sentamental favorite after losing his son last year. plus, i always thought he got the shaft at tampa bay.
