The people are a bit short tempered with you ( if you don't know "the obvious".) They are kind and welcoming to foreigners ; it's not what the tipycal american thinks oh, they hate us.. Only if you hate them will they hate you.

Based on the geographic properties, parts of Europe are great places to live.

The Gulf Stream brings warm waters north from the Caribbean to Europe, so that the weather is much more moderate than at similar latitudes in North America. The Mediterranean Sea has a climate that makes for a long growing season.

The Alps block colder air from getting into Italy and hot summer air from getting into Germany, so that Germany has relatively mild summers and Italy has relatively mild winters.

Further east, the Gulf Stream doesn't affect the weather as much, so that the Ukraine and interior European Russia have very cold winters.

It's generally got a nice climate and landscape if that's what you mean.. but really, it's a continent - so it's different from place to place. Depends on where in Europe. A more specific question is needed for more specific answers.
