I have this science project about chemical reactionsand stuff can someone tell me a mixture of chemicals that actually do something?

If you mix salicylic acid with acetic anhydride (in the presence of an acid catalyst) it forms acetylsalicyclic acid which is Aspirin! THe other product it forms is acetic acid which is essentially vinegar!

An interesting fact..... police dogs are trained to sniff out vinegar because it is also the byproduct formed when making heroin ( acetic acid) and vinegar smells so that is how many illegal heroin labs are detected!

The most common chemical reaction is acid (vinegar) + sodium bicarbonate (baking soda). Add them to together and see what happens. U could also add some food colouring preferably red. Make some volcanic action
