2012: The World's End?

Hmm...that's a good question.

Everybody was saying the world would end on my 16th birthday (6/6/06), but it didn't.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I am sure we are gonna wake up one fine morning when we are 99 years old and still ask the same question....whether the world is going to come to an end soon. Honestly...no one will know. There are several factors that could lead to the end of the world. Among those factors, some are in our control and rest is not. The things that are in our control are factors like...War, Pollution, our contribution to global warming(even though there are natural reasons for global warming too), nuclear escalation and so on. If we find ways to control all the above, then we have saved our planet to some extent. Next are the factors that are not in our control...for example....asteroid impact. Well....with the increase in technological advances, we could find a technique to alter the direction of asteroid (if not completely blow it up, which would be a bad choice since fragments might still hit the earth).
Coming to your question, well...i would like to think we will all be hale and healthy past 2012. So you can continue doing whatever that you are doing, continue to love the person whom you are loving, and continue to take care of your business. There are more chances of we hurting ourselves climbing steps or crossing roads than an asteroid hit. Hope..is the key.
