I have a green tree frog, it likes humid weather, so instead of giving it really wet soil, try giving it a shallow water dish. green tree frogs were originated in tropical rain forests, so they'll soak themselves. Yes, they can live in wet soil, but they won't like it.

Green tree frogs are climbers (why they are given the name TREE frog). They'll spend most of their time climbing pieces of driftwood or your tank walls.

If you use soil for the bottom make sure it's sterile - otherwise you'll be getting mold growing and it will smell! If you keep it moist, it will help keep the humidity up in the tank.
