Sure, if you are a strong and confident swimmer, and you have taken the water safety courses needed to do that job, it's a great first job! It gives you the chance to learn responsibility, you get the chance to be around water if you love swimming, and you get paid... what more could you ask for? :)

Lifeguarding is a great first time job for a teenager. It teaches you to think and react in emergency situations, have to learn to keep a level head. It teaches patience, and people skills, especially how to handle disrespectful people. A good forum to learn great work skills

I think its a very "Noble", "Courageous" job, for you to take on!!! And being that your a teen, at your age this will look good for "Future-Jobs" to put on your resume.... Yes, it a good first job, for you to get! And since you most likely already know all of the first aid courses, and CPR certified and all, I say "Go For It!!!" Smile!!!

You first job doesn't matter. All that does is how you get it. Don't work somewhere your parents or friends suggest and setup. Work job you yourself go out and get you'll respect yourself later on I promise, and the pride felt on doing this alone in awsome
