if x is a real valued function then f(x) is defined to be real if
f(x)=f(-x).
example such as x^2 cos(x) are even,
and -f(x)=f(-x) the definition states the function is odd.
an example for an odd function is x^3 and sin(x).
if for example the function is a sum of an even and odd the function would be neither
for an example
x^3+x^2.
So in this example you have neither.

a polynomial is an equation interior the type a_0x^0 + a_1x^a million + a_2x^2 + ... + a_nx^n the place n is a non-unfavourable integer. many times words are arranged the two in ascending or descending powers of x. x^0 = a million so a_0 is the fee of the consistent. the different a_1...a_n are the coefficients of x. The premier coefficient is a_n. If the there's no x term for a given capability of x, the coefficient of that x term is 0 (examine a_0 as "a sub 0" the quantity is basically an index on the call variable call a to make the call unique so which you would be able to desire to declare a + bx + cx^2 + ...) the degree of a polynomial is the fee of the main important exponent. i.e polynomial above could be reported to have degree n. Y! trace: '^' shows an exponent. Your g(x) reads ..x - a million..., yet i anticipate you mean x^-a million and additionally for the different powers. Why did I unmarried out that particular exponent?

To answer the question we have to assume that x is an integer.
3x^3 + 2x^2 + 1
If x is even then we have: even + even + odd = odd
If x is odd then we have: odd + even + odd = even
So the answer is, it depends on x.

the answer would be neither... problem is when you have negative values...
if x = -1 the answer is 0 (neither)
if x = 0 the answer is 1 (odd)
if x = 1 the answer is 6 (even)
Therefore the answer is neither.

Neither.
For polynomials, the rule is :
All even exponents: Even function
All odd exponents: Odd function.
Mixed: Neither.
Your example is mixed, because you have a 3rd power and a 2nd power.
