My neon tetra is fatter than the other ones and has a dark blue to it, i was wondering if it could be pregnant? I have had my neon's for about a 6 months + now and they are very settled in my tank. Please could anyone give me some advice. Thank you

Neons are not livebearers so they cannot be pregnant. However it is possible that this is a female with eggs. But very few people are able to breed neons in captivity so it is unlikely that this is a female with eggs.

Most likly you simply have some mature fish and what you are seeing is the normal size difference between females and males.

neon tetras are community egg layers, so i highly doubt it.
i'd say just keep doing what you're doing, maybe check that the one fish is not hogging all the food?

Well it's difficult to say, however sexually mature females are usually fatter and rounder than others so it may be that your fish has reached maturity.

No one but really, really experienced breeder will get them to reproduce and never in a community tank. It's bigger because it's a female, that's all.
