Norrington.. why? well here:
Reasons to love the former Commodore, James Norrington:
-Only truly selfless character. A good, HONORABLE man. Loyal to the British Navy at all costs.
-Most effective character (wiping out most piracy in the Carribean, accomplishes goal at end of II).
-Is beautifully sarcastic at Jack Sparrow.
"You hired me. I can't help it if your standards are lax."
-Holds his own in a swordfight against a blacksmith ten years his junior, after having spent the last months piss drunk, and presumably not practicing much.
