you can promote it to ANY piece (except King), and it does not have to be a piece that has already been captured. So you are not limited by any number of any type of piece (again, except King)

So you can have more than 1 (up to 9 if somehow you promote all your pawns) queen(s).
You don't have to wait until you lose your queen to get it back, either.

The only piece other than queen you would promote to would be knight, since a queen has as part of its move the moves of all the other pieces.

If promotion to a queen (or other piece) causes checkmate, yes you can win with a pawn promotion.

And you can also checkmate an opponent's king with a pawn (without promoting).

When the pawn gets to the other side of the board, it can assume the abilities of any of the pieces you want, not necessarily queen.

The king can't be killed, it can just be captured. The only case that I can see where a pawn would capture a king if it were only helping to capture the king. Because the king can't move into a check, the pawn might be in a position to trap the king, and another piece, like a rook or a queen, might also make it impossible for the king to move. Checkmate.

You don't have to lose your queen to get another queen when you push a pawn to the other side of the board. You can have any piece you would like except a new king of course ;)

Yes you can kill a king with a pawn. In the right position any piece can kill the king, except the king. A king cannot kill another king.

You get to promote it into any piece you want (But it can't remain a pawn). Normally, you take a queen, because it's more valuable, but in some positions, you might want a rook, a bishop or a knight, and you can do that. If you still have your queen, you can get a second one as well (Some players put up a rook upside down to signify the second queen if you don't have another set handy, or replace it with some other object to remind you it's now a queen. - That's alright for friendly games, although it would be a big no-no in tournament play, but organizers always have plenty of sets around)
And yes, you can checkmate the king with a pawn. If the king is in check and can't legally move, the game is over. It doesn't matter which piece delivers the final stroke.

When a pawn gets to the other side of the board you can trade it in for any piece that has been captured by your opponent. and you can get the king in checkmate with a pawn, just the pawn has to be checking the king and no escape and the pawn is protected by another piece. otherwise the king could just capture the pawn.

In chess, when you get your pawn to the other side without being captured, you are entitled to choose which piece you want. If, however, you so happen to loose your Queen first, you are more likely to even the game out by choosing the Queen back.

when it gets to the end, it turn into a queen, and I don't think it's possible to get your pawn over early. Maybe if your like a pro, but I've never heard of it before.

If your pawn gets to the other side of the board you can exchange it for any piece that has been captured by your opponent. You can kill a king with any piece.

you get a piece of your choice that has been taken. you can't kill the king with just one pawn. but you could with more than one. If you have only one, the king could always take it. something needs to defend that pawn so that if the king took it, they would still be in check.
