I know that my brother said that when he worked for a newstation in Bentonville, AR. that the reporters hated Walmart. If the wages are so bad then there are plenty of jobs in our town to choose from and Walmart would have a lot of trouble finding staff. I have worked there and know several others who have and they have very little complaints. If its about WMT putting others out of business: If they can find a cheaper way to do stuff and therefore charge the customer less then Walmart should be able to. The way I see it, they are providing much needed goods in a very convenient manner. In the same way some sabatoge good things in their own lives with destructive, paronoid attitudes; many unions, the media, and whoever else want to sabatoge something like Walmart for their own town. If you have a sincere, honest complaint then tell me. If a corportation is doing something wrong they should be held to the fire, but most of the complaining seems to come from envy and unfounded fear

Success and popularity ALWAYS bring jealousy and hatred.
It's the way of the world.
Incidentally, I do not have a problem with anyone/anything being a success.
I'm English, like that should make any difference!

Walmart is notorious for paying its employees poor wages. They refuse to unionize and offer poor benefits. For example, in downtown Toronto, a manager at Walmart only makes $10.00/hour. that is impossible to live off of, and most people need to get second jobs. Its unjust. Yes its great that they offer low prices, but it is at a price for the employees. Its usually a last ditch job for people who cannot find another one.

Well, one of the big problems for me in Wal-Mart is that most of the stores are dirty and have bad service. Who wouldn't be mad about that? Who wouldn't be a little unhappy and not willing to come back about that? A lot of people love shopping at Wal-Mart and think that it is just dandy. But others feel that places like Target are a little better. Most of it is really just that the service there isn't great and they feel that Target is a better environment to shop in because it is a little bit homier and easier to shop in.

A lot of the employees are "part-time" and have no medical benefits.
