my theory is that they are insecure losers who have nothing going on in their own lives and/or they do it to make themselves feel better about their own unhappy, pathetic lives

I agree with you 100 percent. Why can't people just mind their own business and leave other people alone. I recently became single again and now I have a reputation cuz I like to dress up and go out dancing. If they only knew how many times I had sex with others the last 25 yrs. That and they are jealous.

Most, if not all people have grievances, like things, circumstances they are not happy with. They tend to look for reasons/causes in environment and the "others" to take the suspicion from themselves and/or their own community. "We" are not (don't want to be) responsible.
That's also the reason why "we" tend to overlook and fail to appreciate the positve done by others, because deep down we realise that we should have done the same, but didn't.
Again the "golden rule" is neglected, though it is accepted as "good" to be followed by the "others".
When will we ever learn?!!

Taking a guess you're still in school?
Reason being then, because most of your friends at school, sorry to say, aren't your real friends!!
When you get out, most of them won't talk to you anymore (nor you to them) and your closest friends will stick by you..... then the bitching will be over.
Until you get into the work place, THEN people do it to get ahead in life.
Don't worry about it, just don't do what they do and at least you'll know in yourself you're better than them.

you got it and i must tell you this is why you must kknow thy self allow me to explain to you and teach you alright
they do it to blend in and be of the wrong
never have nor make friends
dont trust anyone and keep your business to your self really this is how all of this could have been avoided really!
they only told what youve told them and they hurt you because you considersed them to be friends of yours is all!
hay chill and keep folks away and out of your immediate business and life and you win with this mess!
