To make a long story short, his 18 year old wife (my son is 20) left him for his best friend. Unfortunately, there is a child involved. My grandson is 2 1/2. He is so depressed, I don't know what to do. He has family in the area (I am not), but I think he needs to talk to some people his own age, or maybe a support group for people who are going through the same thing. I searched online, and in the yellow pages, but am having difficulty finding a group, but I know they are out there. On the days he doesn't have his son (they did agree to share time with him), he is so lonely. He doesn't have any really good friends around. HELP

He needs to find a local single dads support group or something like that... How about a parents support group somewhere? Call a local church and ask them if they know of any such groups that can be helpful to your son... He also may want to join a singles group at a church or local place as well... I wish him the best.

I hate the guy that answered the question first hes just pissed off cuz his wife left him for another woman ha ha ha...I am so sorry for your son and his whore ex. Have you looked on the net? If you cant find any groups maybe call some counselors they will be able to help you out with groups...Churches offer groups to that would be my first call.

The best thing for him to do would be to speak with someone at a church that you or he attends. Getting closer to God is always the best solution for any situation. Another good thing would be to check for Christian Counseling in your area. Sometimes these are free of charge and he may find them helpful for what he's going through. He is not alone and it is important for him to know that. He may find it good to volunteer at some of the local charitable places. Sometimes it helps for people to help others. They sometimes see that what they are going through is not as bad as what someone else may be going through.Good Luck.
