I have an albino frog and a couple of mollies and would like to add a couple of red eye tetra. I know that the red eye tetra and mollies like tropical flake food and dried blood worms, but i'm not sure if it will work out for them. any suggestions?

The fish you mentioned should get along fine, and the tetras should be fine eating the tropical flake mix and they would probably eat the bloodworms, but watch them to make sure. The only problem I could foresee is a possible overstocking issue. How many mollies do you currently have? Are they all male or all female or is there a mix? How many gallons is your tank? If you only have a ten gallon and have a mix sex group of mollies, I wouldn't suggest getting anymore. Larger sizes of tanks depend on how many mollies you already have.

Tetras are a schooling fish, so you'll want to have at least 5-6 of them and I would only get them if you have a 20 gallon or larger and don't have very many mollies currently, or only have one sex of mollies. To sex the mollies, if you don't already know, then the males have a long, tin fin coming from the middle of their underside. Females have a triangular fin instead.

Great question, I had my Dwarf frogs in with my Red Eye Tetras for several weeks with no problems until last night when one of my larger Red Eyes decided to grab one of my two little frogs and try swimming away with it. He looked like jaws on the take. I was able to get the frogs out and move them to another tank for their safety. I had read up on the topic of keeping the frogs with Red Eye Tetras but saw no complaints. I will never put that combo together again and would not recommend that anyone else try it either.

I would only add to G's post by saying that you can't always reply on the shop to tell you correctly which type of frog you have. All too often they are sold under the wrong names. The best bet is to do your own research and identify the frog. Remember, small fish are the natural food of most aquatic frogs, so in my opinion the only fish that should be in the tank with frogs is food for the frogs. Just my opinion though.

The other fish will do quite well together and should have no problems.

is it a clawed frog or a dwarf frog? clawed frogs will grow large and eat the tetras.
