Do we have to report when we buy furniture?? We bought my son a bed with his money, but we bought us a bed with our own money. Do we have to report that too??? I'm new to this. Serious answers only please.

They should have given you a pamphlet explaining what you could and could not spend his money on and how to keep track in a journel. If not contact Social security and they should be able to help you! They will want a sheet sent in with all the figures I believe once a year! So keep your receipts and a list of expenses!

A pamphlet explaining your reporting responsibilities and what receipts you need to save was included with your award letter. If you didn't keep it and read it, call the office for another. They can mail you one and verbally tell you the highlights as well. They also have a pamphlet pre designed for you to keep track of expenses. It has a ledger in it you can use for this purpose.

you will get a paper sent to you once a year and on it you have to show what you saved for him, what you spent on living expenses.. like a place to live, utilities, food etc. and also you will have to show what you spent otherwise
