Some jewelers say when you bite into the pearls carefully, there should be a gritty feeling in your mouth. Best way to tell is by taking your pearls to a certified jeweler.

Take a scissors or blade and scratch the pearl with it. If powder comes off, then it is real.

I used to (seriously) feel them with my tongue... real pearls feel kinda rough when fakies feel like smooth plastic.

If you lightly bite on one It should feel gritty like a stone not smooth like a bead.

Rub them against your teeth if they feel rough they are real if they feel smooth they are fake.

ok.. put one of the pears in your mouth and grind them on your teeth if they feel smooth then they are fake if they are kinda grddy then they are real!

bite it if it breaks its fake you can also try that rubbing it against your teeth thing but that never works for me.
