Wouldn't that just serve to create sympathy for America during a time when Bush's actions have alienated America from most of the planet? Isn't Bush doing Bin Laden's work for him as it is? Why would Bin Laden want to prop up the U.S.A's image by attacking it?

No he wouldnt attack now while George rules over Iraq. Bin Laden owes a favor to BUsh. Mr. Bush save Bin Laden family after September 11 attacks. He fled them in private aircraft. Bin Laden cuasi works for GW so attacks must likely happen after the boss leaves office. Must likely when the Dems take over office so Reps can go and claim: I TOLD YOU SO.. and justify their policies.

I really don't think he is a threat. The Muslim Brotherhood would attack us and most likely are planning to do so.

Remember Bin Ladin was running a rehab center for Afghan soldiers that were wounded fighting Russia, when the Muslim Brotherhood found him,

Ayman Al Zawahiri is Bin Ladin's handler Zawahira has been in the Muslim Brotherhood for 30 years. He facilitated the attacks on 9-11

I don't believe Bin Laden's health is good enough right now.I believe someone else is running the show.
However, it's not likely we'll get much encouragement from the rest of the world, because it goes against their own interest to be closely identified with the U.S. since 9/11.
They don't want to become targets for terrorists.
The terrorists, after having such great success on 9/11, will not be satisfied with a any small scale attack.--They are going to take their time and make the next attack one from which we'll not recover.

Bin Laden's work is complete. We invaded the wrong country and are in a catch-22 there, our airlines are a mess (have you traveled lately), and Bush has alienated Democrats making a mockery out of the word "democracy."

Good question. If he were to receive clandestine backing from Bush, and Bush were able to make a show of repelling the attack, naturally Bush would look like a hero and all his problems would miraculously vanish. I wouldn't have that much faith in Bush being able to defeat even a fake attack.

If Bin Laden were to start attacking us and our allies the world would still hate Bush for not doing enough about it. The world may hate us but we are saving their lives by fighting with our own. I say screw what the world thinks of Bush. At least he has the balls to try and face terror. What has the rest of the world done in the long term to help out? Britain and other allies aside.

No, Bush is fighting Bin Laden. This hurt image is curtosy of political correctness, of people who care more about votes than the people whom they serve. Beauty is deeper than skin deep. Our image may not be pretty, be our intentions and efforts are. blair is trying to repair the image. gates, the Sec of Defense, is too. i think little by little, appreciation for America will re-emerge. Bin Laden is hopefully a little to cramped in a cave to plan an attack, curtosy (spelling?) of our military and a little help from other countries.

If he attacked now, it would be the best thing for him. A radical Muslim attack will immediately be turned into another so called Bush failure. WHEN, the next attack occurs we need to get prepared for some devastating after effects.

In the immediate days following the next major terror attack, the left in this country will begin to launch a viscous attack on Bush. You will see anti-Bush sentiment reach the likes to which the nation has never seen. While this nation is in turmoil it will be the most opportune time for a nation like Iran, Venezuela, North Korea, or Palestine for this matter, to make a major move in the world around us.

With the markets around the world already faltering because of the terror attack, depending on the delivery system and scope, another major jolt in global security wether it be an attack, cut off from oil supplies, or nuclear test, form an inhospitable region of the globe could launch this nation into a depression and catastophic turmoil.

The most devistating type of an attack would be one using our trucking and highway systems to deliver the death and destruction. If no more than 2 fuel transportation trucks were hijacked and rammed into the front door of a Wal-Mart on any given Saturday afternoon in 30-40 major cities, the economic impact could be in the Trillions of dollars. This would lead to major major problems for everyday people all over this country. Which in turn would leave us vulnerable to another terror attack of either militant or economic scope.

9/11 was an inside job not a Bin Laden Job. Watch out for the next inside job in the Persian Golf on one of our ships.
