The bear, in my opinion. It is much, much stronger. Has a height and weight advantage. And a very important consideration, is that the bear has a great deal of fur to 'absorb' any mauling and biting. The bear has very effective claws and teeth. I know the lion has too, but coupled with the other advantages, an easy winner.

considering that an adult male lion is about 80kilos heavier than an adult male american black bear and about 70kilos heavier than the average male asiatic black bear...i'd say the lion although it might take a bit of a beating

Lion are pack hunters, so they are not as good on their own.

The Bear is much more powerful.

In real life, i doubt they would fight eacher other, because they know they both will be hurt.

But just for the fun of it, i would bet my money on the bear, becasue the bear is much more powerfull.

I'd say a lion because it can attack faster and from all sides.
