I like Meg's books (Boy Meets Girl, The Boy Next Door, Every Boy's Got One) a lot. I would like to read books with the seem feel, meaning written in e-mails and stuff with the romance and all. Any books like this?

Meg also writes the Princess Diaries series. It's not really adult, but I'm sure you'll love it anyways. Another good trilogy is the Diary of a Crush, written by Sarra Manning. It's based in England and it's beautifully written. You can't help but to become involved with the characters.

Sorcery and Cecelia Or The Enchanted Chocolate Pot by Patricia C. Weede and Caroline Steevermer

The book is completely comprised of letters written back and forth by two cousins. (In reality, the authors of the book actually wrote and mailed these letters back and forth each other as a game and afterwards they put them together and edited them as a book.)

The book is a lot of fun and romance. It is JK Rowling meets Jane Austen. I really enjoyed it. There are two other books in the series but I haven't had the chance to read them yet. Once I catch up on some other reading, I'll be picking these up.

The Clarice Bean series by Lauren Child is also wonderfully written as a diary. It is witty, funny, and heartfelt. It is written for the 8-11 year old set so it doesn't have much romance (although Clarice has a male friend), but I love it nonetheless and I am in my 30s. Gilda Joyce Psychic Investigator by Jennifer Allison is written along a similar vein with a mystery twist minus the romance.

If you are leading more towards the romantic chick/mystery genre I also recommend the Psychic Eye Mystery Series by Victoria Laurie. No emails/letters but it has a romantic feel like Austen and it is very lighthearted and funny in parts as well.

i'm also a huge Meg Cabot fan but I read her teen books ('cause apparently I am a teenager)... like All American Girl and its sequel, Queen of Babble - this may be kinda adult-ish I think, Princess Diaries, Nicola and the Viscount etc... I guess you should try them too because to me, not all of them are too teen-ish.

If you wanna delve out to other books that have the same feel, I would suggest the ever popular book or shall I say a book with its 3 sequels - The Sisterhood of the traveling Pants. (The other sequels are : The Second Summer of the Sisterhood, Girls in Pants and the last - Forever in Blue). You may have heard it, and I say you try it. There's this certain twist at the end of Forever in Blue. It's allegedly the last of the four.

The book is way better than the movie.
