how to keep pulley on front of 1986 Subaru motor tight--have tightened pulley and it comes loose right away?

pulley is on front of motor and runs the belts. Need to keep tight so that battery will charge.

Apparently it's not tight enough.

Keep tightening it.
If it's the main bolt to the crankshaft, that takes 90Ft.Lb. of torque.

before tightening to proper torque, put on some lock tite. Which is available at any auto parts store.

put a lock washer on it !!
