ACTUALLY,

even the stars and celebrities (who are right in the mind) are expressing their opinions of not liking it. If you notice, more of the women in hollywood who are looked at now as the most beautiful, actually have a little meat on their bones. The media makes fun of the bean poles who are anorexic. I mean really most the guys i know find Paris Hilton to be very UNattractive.
Yes it is appealing to men to have a nice body, but who ever said skin hanging from bones looked good?
Also, just because some hyped up stupid movie star does something because they're depressed and want publicity doesnt mean its cool or in.
Anorexia is an eating disorder, and means that you have a bad body image and low self esteem.
The sexiest thing about a woman is confidence in herself.

So just remember that..... Curves and Confidence are IN.

The anorexic look is not in amongst the masses. Only for a small percentage of people who are in the entertainment industry. They think they need to be smaller than the next girl to get the part, or look petite compared to the co-star, or fit into the designer dress that's already been altered down 9 times. It causes a ripple effect where the next girl wants to be smaller, and the next girl wants to be smaller yet.
All the normal people see this for how unhealthy and ridiculous it really is.

Who CARES about the stars, they are all probably doing it for publicity except the ones who arent anorexic like tyra banks, or brenda song, or ashley tisdale, or daughtry. Those stars have talent and dont need anorexia to prove that. All it does to them(as in the stars who ARE anorexic) is give them publicity and eat their lives. So no, it does not make them cool.

No matter who does it, it is not cool! Anorexia is a serious disease and shan't be taken lightly. If you or a loved one has it, push that person to undergo treatment right away! I don't know what you're thinking when you say that anorexia can be cool. It's a deadly disease, people have died for it, and to truly go through it is more than just painful! It's crucial and anything can happen to you at any time, so be on the lookout and stay healthy! Please don't read magazines that encourage thinness, just look your best and work out three or four days a week. You can walk, ride your bike, or play soccer with friends. Try to stay healthy, pin-thin is out!

Actually, the fashion industry is closely looking into their ideal standards of weight. A couple of international fashion shows have banned anorexic-looking models from their runways. The international world of fashion is set to meet to discuss this issue as it has become a cause of death among models themselves and is not a good example to set for young teen-age girls.

It is a very dangerous and unhealthy thing to try and copy. Hollywood and those in the fashion world should be ashamed of themselves for letting this get so out of hand. And no it isn't cool. What you don't hear about is how many girls are dying to try and achieve "that" look.
