in Britain it has nothing to do with cars. Its another name for Scouse House. Its the type of baseline that is used in the track and gets its name because it sounds like " donk donk donk ".
Its an amazing form of music and is taking over the hardcore scene in Britain. Famous DJs include DJ Alex K aka the dinky man and famous venues that play it are Wigan-pier ( no MCs ) and Maximes.
If you havent heard of it type scouse house into limewire or a similar program and have yourself a listen.
