Its my 30th birthday in early June 2007, and I have no idea how to mark this one, I could do with some ideas.

You could make it more than a single event. Options as mentioned include travel, a family get-together, and maybe a night out with friends. The main thing is to search inside yourself and decide on those things that will make you the most happy.
I would also buy one special thing I wanted for myself. That way you can be assurred of having one gift that you really want!

Have a family meal, might sound boring but how often do you get all your family in the same room? Also at 30 (I'm 32) your not getting any younger and may never get the opportunity again to have elderly relations attend your birthday celebrations. If you have a party people get drunk and fight!!

Go to Las Vegas with some friends. That's what I did and it was a blast!! Start planning now because they will need to plan and get off of work, etc.

i went on holiday to Spain for my 30th last year with family and friends, we went all inclusive so I could drown my sorrows without shelling out an absolute fortune. :-)
