Money would go to booze!! If thats ok with you then ya cash. If not then gift cards to a store they can get school supplies or clothes or something.

i'd say money for college grads but high school grads you can give them practical stuff you know they will need,like even school supplies...although it should be something cool. When I was in college food (or gift certificates) were always a good present. Cause we had money through financial aid but not always food if you didnt live in a dorm

You should probably give some sort of gift card for food or something like that, it seems that when you go away to college it is easy to blow cash on meaningless things but if you have a gift card for a grocery store you only spend that on food

Money is always a good gift for someone that is going away to college that is what I gave my niece.

Money is always good but a homemade survival kit would be good. You could get some kind of container the student could use - ie. backpack, trashcan and then fill it with things like a quarters for laundry, snacks, inspirational books, CDs, DVDs, etc.

A notebook (lab-top) if you can afford it, giftcard to the graduate's favorite store, a message board, or open a bank account in the state where the college is located

Yes money is good but if you really want to know it was spent on something he/she needs get them a gift card from someplace like wal-mart or some place like that

HI, GIFT CERTIFICATES: for gas for the car,telephone calling,wal-mart, do you know the area where he/she will be living? than check out what SUPPER MARKET IS CLOSE TO THAT PERSON. ALSO. BREAKFAST AT BURGER KING? ETC....
